A Longtime PrideFest Sponsor Reflects…
Greg Campbell, the Marketing Director of the W Seattle, has been a PrideFest supporter for over a decade now, so he’s seen a LOT. We asked him to make a top fab 5 of his memories of partnering with PrideFest over the years.
1. Every year, hanging out in the VIP lounge at the Seattle Center. Nothing beats that glorious view overlooking the sea of beautiful people!!
2. That time we hosted the zany Gay Newlywed Game in June of 2012 leading up to the WA State vote in November to legalize same sex marriage, hosted by the fabulous Robbie Turner.
3. That time we hosted Queer Me Out in 2021, helping to raise Egan’s blood pressure to frantic new heights. 😊 (He’ll know why).
4. When Pridefest began, and every year thereafter, I beam with pride in seeing W Seattle’s logo on the Pridefest Main Stage as well as metro bus ads . . confirming that W Seattle has raised the rainbow since the very beginning! #rainbowrising
5. When we first introduced the Tipsy Welcome while guests arrived to the hotel, originally with Mama Tits, and now with the fabulous Anita Spritzer. The looks on unsuspecting guest faces when they first get a glimpse of a 6 foot drag queen in stiletto heels is always priceless.
Thanks for your top 5, Greg! And thanks for all the support over the years. We couldn’t do Pride without you or the W Seattle.
